Data sources

Connect a source. Send it where you work.

Browse supported services, then add the accounts you want to use. One account, property, store, site, channel, or spreadsheet added to a project counts as one data source toward your plan. Available does not mean already added.

An integration is a service listed on this page, such as Shopify or Google Analytics. A data source is one account, property, store, site, channel, or spreadsheet from that service that you add to a project. We also call that a connection: it is that account inside that project. A project groups the data sources for one company, brand, website, or client, and every plan includes unlimited projects.

Most sources connect with one sign-in. A few ask you to paste an API key instead. Datapipe pulls the numbers, you pick the metrics for a report, and the report refreshes on your plan's schedule. You can send it to Google Sheets, Data Studio, Drive, a CSV or JSON file, BigQuery on Pro and Agency, or ask Claude or ChatGPT about the same numbers. On supported sources, you can also send owner-approved changes back. Writes start switched off until the owner turns specific actions on.

OAuth means you sign in with the service and grant access, without pasting an API key. Datapipe works with multiple partners to provide that sign-in. Some partners already provide it. Some integrations are API-only at present, so you paste a key or token. OAuth is coming soon for some. Some partners do not provide OAuth at all. The setup steps on each integration page say how that source connects. Signing in is only how the connection is made. It is not permission to change records. Where a source supports changes, those writes stay off until the workspace owner turns specific actions on and approves each one. We do not promise OAuth on every source, and we do not share dates.

Datapipe reads and, on supported sources, writes with owner approval. Many sources only read your numbers, so Datapipe never changes anything in that account. That is safer for reporting: Datapipe asks for permission to see the data, not to edit it. If a source can make changes, for example a Shopify price, a HubSpot record, or a daily budget on Amazon Ads, X Ads, or StackAdapt, those writes still start switched off until the owner turns specific actions on, and every proposed change needs the owner's approval.

Some sources already allow optional writes, such as updating a Shopify product, a HubSpot contact, or a daily budget on Amazon Ads, X Ads, or StackAdapt. Those stay off until the owner turns them on, and every proposed change needs the owner's approval. We may add more write options the same way later. We do not share dates for what comes next.

Yes. Your plan counts data sources across every project, not how many services appear on this page. Free includes 3, Starter includes 25, Pro includes 100, and Agency includes 500. Extra reports and destinations do not use another data source slot, and Google Sheets and Drive destinations do not count toward the limit.

Free and Starter refresh once a day. Pro refreshes every hour. Agency refreshes every 15 minutes on up to 50 data sources, and hourly on the rest. Refreshes run on a schedule rather than as a live stream.

When you connect with sign-in, you approve access at that provider, and Datapipe does not store that password. Tokens and any API keys you paste are encrypted before they are saved. Teammates can use a source you connected to build reports; they do not see your password or keys. You can share a Google sign-in with chosen teammates so they can add Analytics, Search Console, or YouTube accounts without handling your password.

From Starter up, you can add a Custom API source from a JSON API, upload a CSV, or receive data by webhook. If that does not fit, tell us which service you need before you pay anything. Choose Feature request on the contact page.

Request a data source

Disconnecting a data source stops new pulls and frees that slot on your plan. It does not erase report history already saved in Datapipe, or copies already sent to Sheets, Drive, or elsewhere. To remove a project's saved rows, switch that project to Live data in Settings. To delete your Datapipe account, use Settings or send a privacy request.

Yes. Choose Explore sample reports in the app to try clearly labeled example numbers. Live reports require a data source added to the selected project.

No. Name a project, add a data source, then choose a report and destination.
